So here's a picture this morning of my little girls room that they share. Messy isn't it. And we should be cleaning it this morning. We live in a very small cottage of a house, and we are in the slow renovation process. Hopefully, sometime this summer, this will be my sewing room! Oh joy of joys! We are presently working on converting the attic into a great bedroom for the girls. They will have much more space to play and keep all of their things than this tiny room. So you see what I should be cleaning this morning. And why is that lamp sitting on the stool?.....
Here's what I'm actually working on, it's much more important don't you think?
You'll have to check back to see how it all comes together. I've been hand appliqueing this small wall hanging from a kit that I bought 2 years ago. I just stitch a little on it here and there. It's time to finish it up don't you think?
I love the fabrics in this, they are "Wuthering Heights" by Moda. (I seem to have a Moda theme going on lately.. I swear I do have a diverse fabric selection!) I decided to add these little yo yo's just for kicks. Aren't they cute?
Do any of you have unfinished projects waiting patiently?
Would love to know how you make the yoyo's. Have tried to find a book or even a website to show me how to make them. Found your blog through the vintage magpie (have ordered a bunny too!) And look forward to learning more about quilting from you.

i have so many projects...quilts and gifts that are sitting on my sewing table while i manage to find so many other projects to do. i am interested to see how you are incorporating such tiny yo-yo's into your quilt. Very pretty fabric. That is my favorite part of quilting and sewing...the fabrics!!!

I love your posting and pictures. I love to quilt too. There is an easy way to make the yo yo's. They now have a yo yo maker, different sizes all under $5-10. I love them. THey make yoyo making so quick and easy. I found mine at Hancock Fabrics.
