So this may not be the healthiest kind of breakfast. But my Mama taught me well and it's perfectly acceptable to eat a piece of pie, or cake for breakfast.
This little cheesecakey number is really good and the easiest thing to make. My Mom made it for us all the time when I was little. And it was a big hit with my family recently!
I am loving this fabric by Fig Tree Quilts. It seems perfect for spring and summer. Stacking fabrics and auditioning new ones to the stacks is so fun. This stack will get much taller as I choose because I love scrappy quilts. The scrappier the better! Then it's on to pattern choosing....
And what do you think of my little plate? My Mother in law brought me the whole set of these from her Mother's estate a few months ago. She's had so many things in storage over the years and asked me if I might like some of it. She brought some amazing things! It was like Christmas! We spoke on the phone before she came and screened a few things. She said things like, "Oh, and I could bring you, well.....you wouldn't want those.........." And I'd say, "Wouldn't want what?", and she'd say, "Well I have these two old sewing machines..." "Oh! Please bring them!" Which she did. They are her mothers old machine and hers that she got for her 8th grade graduation. What treasures! I'm looking forward to posting photos of some of the things she brought me soon.
This easy pie recipe seems too easy to be good but here it is. Here's what you need:
1. Already made graham cracker pie crust.
2. One tub of Cool Whip.
3. One package of cream cheese.
4. One can of cherry pie filling.
Now, let your cream cheese soften at room temp. for about an hour or so. Then mix it up in a big bowl with the Cool Whip. Then pour it into the crust, and top with the cherry pie filling. Voila! C'est fini!
Now back to plotting.....
