OMG, that quilt is going to be so awesome! How cute is that little dog! How about Chocolate for a name? :) Thanks for sharing all this goodness & inspiration!

Sabine

Sarah, you are an artist!! This little super cute dachshund is adorable. I can imagine how much work it was to create "Mrs Boyle". She is absolutely lovely and I understand that both of the girls want to have one.
And the fabrics you found for the quilt are so yummy, refreshing, clean, beautiful and light! Just perfect for summer!
Hugs,
Sabine

Your summer quilt is going to be beautiful! What a wonderful idea to make the entire quilt out of vintage sheets! I can't wait to see how you quilt it as well!

Teresa

Can't wait to see the finished summer quilt. What a lovely use for vintage sheets with fabulous patterns. I rummage at car boot sales and charity shops with a new perspective when I see posts like this. Thank you x

Terry

Love the quilt! It's so bright and pretty and perfect for summer! Love the doggie too!

elizabeth of course

Oh my Lord, do you know that this quilt was the first thing I thought of this morning, the spring quilt is too heavy this time of year, but something like this would be perfect, Imagine my surprise when I opened my reader and saw it looking back at me!? It looks marvelous and now I simply MUST make one!
ps - With those giant pearls, I think the dog should be named Wilma.

Thimbleanna

Oooh, that little Teenie Weenie is adorable! I'll bet your girls are fighting over her. And that quilt! It's going to be super delicious!

Evelyn

I love those vintage sheets!!! Love that carnation one, and the blue one with the really big print. Heck, they're all pretty, and I love the simple design. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Misha

Loving the quilt! I've been wanting to make one like it for so long, but haven't got the guts to cut up my sheets! The little doggie is so adorable, I think she should be named Camille.

Jocelyn

Thanks for showing the vintage sheet quilt. I found the very same deep pink with yellow and white flowers the other day! Woo-hoo! I'm on the hunt for more. Thursday is the 1/2 price day at our thrift store so I am heading out to check out the bargain textiles.

Stefanie

Ooops...let me wipe the drool off of my keyboard!

OMG! I love the vintage sheets! Can't wait to see the completed quilt.

Lisa

Love the quilt. How about naming her Lily--goes nicely with Rosie!

M

I am totally thinking Prissy....because she is definitely Prissy and just adorable.

Jane Swanson

Oh she is cute!
I'm thinking it should start with a "D", like
Dolly, Dixie, Demi, The Dachshund.

Your quilt is going to be so wonderful!
You are very inspiring.

I love how your vintage sheet quilt looks! I have a few vintage sheets but I feel like I need a few more to make a quilt with them. Maybe I will just do a simple patchwork like you. It is lovely with all those florals!

Tressa

I think she looks like a Delilah.

Claudia

Oh, I love that vintage sheet quilt - the pastel colors are beautiful. And your little doggy is adorable. I just discovered your blog and have been reading past posts. Love your quilts and your writing style.

HOPE

Pearlie Girlie was my first thought before you even asked a name! I do love Lilly also!

Wonderful summer Quilt!!! Looks so fresh and I can almost smell the clean scent from the breeze outside after it hung from the wash!

I know you will enjoy this "lovely" at camp!

HOPE~

Those prints are too amazing for words - so I'm not even gonna try!!!!! It is VERY inspiring though!!

I think you should name the doggie... Audrey!!

suesue

love the sheet quilt!! so summery and fun! your "little doggy" is too cute also-my daughter has a dachshund. yours makes me think of the song "how much is that doggy in the window? the one with the waggedy tail!" thanks for sharing her!

Carrie P.

Wow, you don't find sheets like that any more. What great designs.
Love the little dog you made. Cute!

periwinkle

I think your little dog should be called Peggy after my mam as it's her birthday today.... quilt is looking just awesome, but why am I not surprised there , looking forward to seeing it all finished. Hope the sun is shining there as much as it is here :-)

Kay Snyder

I'm so freakin' jealous! I've been collecting vintage sheets and I don't have anything nearly as exciting as you! If you would like to swap some FQ's let me know because I'd be game :o)

Jodi

Sarah! I love your vintage sheet quilt! I FINALLY cut into my vintage sheet fat quarters last week, that I got from Elizabeth's swap last year! I've been sewing away. Loving the results. I'll be posting soon. Your's is fabulous! ooxx`jodi

GREAT sheets - I wish I could find such pretty, good ones.

As to the doggie - I vote for Lily or Petunia, since you already have Rosie.
