She did it again. My friend the genius. Look at this precious mushroom needle case that Monica designed. When I picked up the latest copy of Quilts and More, I knew that it included one of her wonderful projects, and when I actually turned to this page I gasped. I had to make it!
This entire project was stitched while I relaxed on the couch. It is entirely made by hand. I love quick projects like this.
It has two pages to hold your needles.
And the stem is a pocket for your scissors. Holy cuteness.
I love this little pocket!
Before my new needle case's photo shoot, I had to move Mr. Precious. I like to take photos on his favorite spot. And look how comfy he was. How could I wake him?
By taking lots of photos of him that's how. It bugs him. But before I annoyed him too much and he got up to leave, I got some kitty paw pictures. I love kitty paws.
So serene.....and then this.
Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Should we be brushing his teeth? His fangs look huge. But look at his teeny tiny little front teeth, between his fangs. Those are hilarious. And look how huge he can open his mouth!
It looks like his head is going to snap in half.
Moving on.
I really highly suggest purchasing this magazine while it lasts. It has lots of cute projects that I plan on making. And I'm so glad I decided to make this one up first. Monica really thinks up the most clever and cute creations. Thank you Monica, this was truly a joy to make and I love it. Keep 'em coming sister! x
Mushrooms are all the rage.. just like when I was a girl back in the 60's :-)
That truly is the most adorable needle case. Look at all the little cubby pockets for things. Clever! Thanks for pointing us towards the pattern.

Sarah, that is really cute! I have that magazine, and I love lots of things in it too. I'm so glad you posted a bunch of pictures of the mushroom, b/c I was getting confused reading the directions. I need to see steps, not read them!
I love your kitty. He does have adorable paws, the pads are pink and black! Reminds me of my old cat Lucy. My 2 kittens love to keep me company while I'm sewing. It usually involves taking naps on my fabric and trying to steal pins.

That turned out perfect! I saw that mushroom and bought the magazine. Now to get some felt and hope mine turns out as cute as yours!

I too love kitty paws... (You cat's teeth are fine... I should know based on how much money I have spent on kitty dentistry...)

That little needlebook is really darn cute. The stem for the scissors is genius :)
The pic of your cat yawning is hilarious!!! Those fangs!! I love taking pictures of kitten paws too :) I even have a blog post dedicated entirely to that subject called Piles of Paws! Haha.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. I have commented a few times before. Love your pictures--would love to have as nice a camera. I showed my nearly 85 year old Mom your blog. We read several of your posts last night and she really enjoyed "listening" to you. She said you must be a delightful person. I must agree.
