Oh Sarah,
first of all the quilt is soooo amazing. It´s so beautiful on your wall behind the sofa. You must be so proud of it. You have done such a good job, congratulations and very big hugs. It´s one of the nicest quilt I have ever seen!!!!
And the sewing machine? Yes, you know that I´m in love with such little beauties. She could be a "sister" of mine, haha... And your mother is really a crocheting-hero! How long did she work on it?
Beautiful, beautiful...
Have a nice day!!

I love this quilt! I love how it was hung - can you tell me how you are hanging it? Where did you purchase the rings for the rod?

erica

Amy @ parkcitygirl

What a beauty! It does look great there but be sure to snuggle with it soon! That machine is adorable . . . did your girls try it out yet?

Doe

Oh my! The sewing machine fairy loves you! Don't you just love an older machine? I do ;) I got one quilt bound two to go, lol. Yours looks wonderful, I need a wall like that to hang mine on!

Michelle

Wow! Beautiful quilt and I love the cutie little machine!!

Kim

What a SWEET find and only $10! WOW!!!! I'm so happy for you and your daughters. I've been looking at these types of sewing machines on ebay for a while now and I haven't found the price I want to pay for one, quite yet. I think I'll have to hang out in our local thrift shops more often :)

elizabeth of course

What an awesome find! It's so cute! And sturdiness is definately part of the charm, I think. The quilt looks gorgeous on the wall.

jo-anne

Oh! Lucky find! What fun that will be for your little ladies!

The quilt looks absolutely gorgeous!!! Nice work!

Congratulations on finishing your challenge quilt! It looks great on your wall but I'm sure you will take it down when the evenings get chilly, and cuddle in it. Will you send a picture to the Flickr group as well? - Your DD found a lovely little machine for a great price. My sisters and I used to have a little green Elna, but it was hand driven.

Cheryl

Love, love that quilt you made and it looks great the way you have it hanging! Lucky girls to have that sweet little sewing machine. I thought I would give you an update on the baby giraffe. The name they choose for him is Maliki, which means king in Swahili!!!

jacquie

Congrats on the quilt...it's gorgeous. And the sewing machine...what a find and it works too. WOW!

Once I was able to wipe all of Doe's drool off, I could see your beautiful finished quilt. Just stunning and so neat that it's completely from your stash. You've got mad machine quilting skills too. Amazing to me that you do that on your Bernie. I am in awe and wish I had even 1/16th your talent!

What a great score on your little orange baby!

PS... my favorite thing to day after finishing a quilt to wash it, and it gets all scrunchie and cuddly!

sherry

Congrats on finishing your stash quilt, it is just beautiful!! I love that crocheted throw your Mama made for you too. That vintage "find" is too cute...awesome buy!

terri

Lil' d

The quilt is so beautiful. I really am in awe of you quilters. And I'm in awe of your mum - what a lovely throw. As for your find, $10 for that machine - lucky, lucky you!

Nanette

The quilt looks great there!!! I have a vintage sewing machine (childs) my sister gave to me. I love them, they are sooo cute.

Allison

I have been admiring your quilt for several posts! It is simply beautiful.

What I love about your blog and quilting is that it isn't about making a prize winning quilt. You're projects seem to be made for the love of sewing and quilting and made for people to use and enjoy.
