wanted to thank you for the yo-yo entry. Bought two yo-yo makers at the weekend and have been making yo-yo's everyday!! Was wondering how you attach them to fabric? Do you sew around the edges or just in the middle? Thanks again.

Hey Beth!

You sound like a new yo-yo addict! Just like me! You can just sew around the yo-yos with matching thread taking little stitches. I actually glued the yo-yos to the tea cozy though! I'm bad..... I used fabric glue. If I was adding them to a quilt or something, I would sew them on. Keep me posted on your yo-yo projects ok? I would love to see what you make with them!

Hello Sarah,
thank you for this lovely post and the nice pictures. The tea cozy is soooo beautiful, and the yo-yos are getting so well on it. And the sketch is amazing. And of course your grandmother is very proud of you, watching you from heaven....
Have a nice 1. May! Here in Germany it´s a bank holiday, so I have some days free from work, the same as my husband and the children have also free from school, hurrah...
Hugs, Sabine

How heartwarming to see Mom's sketch and your article first thing this morning. It does look so much like her. The tea cozy came out beautifully.

Love you,
Mom

What a sweet, sweet story. Since I'm going to "Decoration Day" at our family cemetary this weekend it made it even more poignant for me. And the tea cozy was wonderful, too!

Rachael

Wow, I love the tea cosy! I would never have guessed that was where you were going with the yo yos but now I can't imagine what else they could have been so they must be perfect. I really admire the composition including the steam swirls, flowers, the buttons in the centres, the fabric combos and ric rac, .... I could go on! Jealous jealous jealous.

I really like how you have made the yo-yos look like teapots, lovely idea. Nice drawing too, I always wished I could draw

You win the prize! Your yo yo teapots are the most original and attractive use of yo yo's that I have seen. Making the tea cozy is in my plans. I want to make one for my friend but I will need to sneak the measurements of her favorit teapot first.
